Demons: Are Those Awful Creatures For Real?

Over the annals of history mankind has narrated of sinister and frightening ghosts they called demons. Demons are defined in the Merriam-Webster dictionary as an evil spirit that is a source of big harm.

What are these creatures? Do they actually exist; or are they just superstitious notions of a by-gone era? The different accounts presented by people who have met these entities leave little doubt of their existence and reports of assaults by unseen beings keep going even into our modern times.

One such account was produced into a movie few years ago, The Exorcism of Emily Rose, based on real events. Emily Rose was tormented by unseen entities who would not let her to eat exhausting her physical body to the point of death. She talked languages unfamiliar to her, and she would talk in voices not her own. She was put on anti-psychotic drugs which only made the trouble bigger. Ultimately, after many useless attempts to exorcise the attacking spirits, she passed.

Most physicians and psychologists see such matters as nothing more than the hallucinations of a disturbed mind. Nevertheless, reports of demons still keep on. Individuals who are harassed by these bad beings, have frequently looked for help from their church just to be told they need to consult a physician.

Many persons have been looking for assistance from demonologists. They also have even turned for assistance to those who stick to the route of Wicca, or met a Native American medicine man. Ironically enough, it is through these very kinds of spiritualists that those harassed by these dark creatures have found the required release.

Our world has many layers, and the world we see with our restricted senses negates what lies underneath. Is there a bad world inhabited by nasty organisms who seem to hate our existence; whose unique intention and delight is to possess, torture, and kill? Since there there are a lot of attested stories controlled by the Catholic church and other organizations of belief it would in truth appear that a world inhabited by frightening beings does exist.

Maybe we should fear things that go bump in the night.
